Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone

Now that I am an empty-nester, I have made a deal with myself to try different things, and that includes a different color palette in my art work.

  • I’ve always used browns, along with blues and greens- really subdued colors. But lately, I’ve been making an effort to incorporate reds into my work. Gosh, it was hard! I used them sparingly at first, but once comfortable, really enjoyed the challenge red presented to me. How to subdue different reds? After a little trial and error, I figured it out...and am so happy with the results!
