Creating a sense of depth in my paintings is another important factor to me when thinking about the desired outcome of my work. It gives each piece a unique and fresh look...especially with the muted colors I prefer.

I layer one thin layer of paint on top of another thin layer, on top of another, and another.  This gives each piece a sense of depth and form, not to mention a softness-almost a patina. The muted colors keep everything fresh and balanced so the piece isn't too overwhelmed with the layers.

What you get is a pretty little piece of art... one that offers a different "favorite spot" everyday... simply for your viewing pleasure... as all art should be.
