As any artist can attest to, we are always trying new techniques, new ideas, in order to stay fresh, to discover and explore .  Not to mention, it helps us get out of a rut when we’re stuck creatively. 

Anyone familiar with my work knows that I tend to use layers and layers of transparent glazes, and a soft color palette. Drippy,dreamy  and ethereal are my goals for a finished piece. Then, I felt stuck. 

I have always wanted to do a series of figurative works so I thought this would be a great time to explore and see what I got! 

Well,here they are! Some bold and beautiful mixed media figurative works coming soon!These have been so much fun to create, and have reinvigorated my desire to create!  So, I guess if you’re feeling like you’re in a rut, maybe you need to start something new.  It may be the remedy for those in a creative rut!
