Light. It's something we all cannot live without, and as a creative, it inspires most of my work. What attracts me in my attempts to capture light, is how it changes perceptions, transforms seemingly simple settings into something spectacular, and challenges the artist in skill and form. It's looking into the distance and seeing sunspots that plague your eyes, but still offer you beauty and simplicity in what you see. I take these visual perceptions, and pair these with the use of unexpected colors that are layered in thin glazes to create my works. The final outcome is truly an homage to the ephemeral joys of light!
